The World Urban Forum (WUF) is a premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Established in 2002, the forum is hosted in various cities around the world. During the 3rd session of the Executive Board of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), the decision was made to hold the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku in 2026.

The Olympic Stadium was selected as the venue for the event, which took place in Baku from May 17 to 22. A record-breaking milestone was achieved, with more than 40,000 participants from 182 countries registering for the forum.

These unique artworks not only capture the spirit of this global event but also reflect our national carpet heritage, shebeke (stained-glass) patterns, coastal waves, and settlement motifs. Every single detail is a carefully crafted piece of handiwork, with each painting showcasing the richness and creativity of Azerbaijani culture.
